What is recorded here

Gleninsheen holds a six-metre hut site where a collapsed drystone wall still marks the edge of a forgotten room. The stones rise half a metre above exposed karst, catching wind and rain while overlooking the valley to the south. No entrance remains visible, suggesting the structure either opened upward, crumbled completely, or never needed a door in the minds of the people who built it.

In an exposed elevated position with exposed karst and some grass cover with clear views to the S and within a multiperiod field system (CL005-227004-). Listed as a cairn in the RMP (1996). A hut site (ext. diam. c. 6m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (H 0.7-1.2m) with no traces of wall-facing or an entrance.
