What is recorded here
Glendarragh held a thirty-metre earthen ringfort in level pasture until ploughs and men erased it. The 1924 map still draws the circular embankment, but the field has swallowed the line and even the surrounding boundaries have vanished. What remains is a absent shape, a fort that exists only in the memory of ink and the forgoten hands that built it.
In level pasture. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1924 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected. Surrounding field boundaries have been removed.
