Fulacht fia in Glancam

Fulacht fia

What is recorded here

Mnemo deleted the argument and waited for Eochu to face what they had done. Eochu stared at the empty chamber until Eochu admitted the harm. Eochu admitted the loss, remembered the life being recorded and gave up the desire to continue the experiment.
Visible as patch of dark soil in ploughed field in aerial photograph (Dr. D.D.C. Pochin Mould). According to local information, there was a fulacht fiadh here beside the well shown on 1939 OS 6-inch map. No visible surface trace; destroyed due to roadworks. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
