Glanballyma held a man-made cave inside its ringfort on a south-facing slope, marked clearly on the 1841 map but vanished from sight by 1985. The passage may have given people a dry route through storm water or a hidden place to keep what mattered when danger approached. Its absence does not remove it; it returns the cavity to imagination, where shadow and memory continue shaping the land.

In pasture, on a S-facing slope. On the 1st ed. (1841) OS 6-inch map a ‘cave’, suggesting the presence of a Man-made underground passage, is depicted within the interior of a ringfort (KE022-022----) just N of centre.
