Shanclogh is a children's burial ground in County Galway where small set stones mark east-west graves beside a castle. The site holds a cross-inscribed slab bearing PK, suggesting one child was named or remembered while others remain anonymous. Its unenclosed rectangle and modern field wall show how little has changed there, leaving the dead young and the living absent.

In grassland, on W-facing slope, c. 100m W of the td. boundary and adjacent to a castle (GA060-084001-). This CBG consists of an unenclosed slightly raised rectangular area (N-S 11m, E-W 10m); a modern field wall forms N boundary. Within the interior are numerous small set stones indicating graves oriented E-W; a small cross-inscribed slab, with the initials PK, stands in SE quadrant.(O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 248) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
