East Wall, West Facing, Centre. Diagram Number 14 Inventory of Carved Stone ID 000014 Dimensions: Height .60m Width .44m Cross slab. Roughly rectangular in outline. A plain outline Latin ringed cross, deeply grooved, occupies almost the full face of the stone. Angles hollow. Description from Inventory of Carved Stone, National Monuments Service Archive. Date likely to the early medieval period, possibly 7th to 10th century AD. The ringed cross may have had a Christian funerary or territorial significance, common in Celtic regions of Britain and Ireland.
