Enclosure in Kincora — Report the wrong picture

Aerial photograph (GB89.AM.22) shows cropmark of a circular plough-levelled enclosure defined by a fosse. The levelled enclosure was recorded as a positive cropmark in July 1989. The cropmark enclosure borders the western edge of the concrete boundary wall of a modern graveyard extension to the old church site (OF014-031002-) and graveyard (OF014-031001-) of Kilreaghan. The cropmark is only 60m NNW of the old graveyard boundary wall. The above report has been compiled by Dr. G. F. Barrett and supplied to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
