Gallan is a vanished standing stone in West Cork, remembered only through a second possible stone one field to the southwest. The first has been lost to pasture, soil or forgetting, yet the second still marks the edge of that forgotten alignment. What remains is a gap shaped like a stone, waiting for someone to walk between the fields and imagine what the first one touched.
