Not shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map. In pasture, on N-facing slope. Stone (H 1.4m; 1.1m x 0.42m) is subrectangular in plan, long axis E-W. '1862' carved into N face. Possibly one of those referred to by Macalister (1945, 128) who was informed locally that standing stones 'in the lands of Crinaloo' had been erected 'in recent years to serve as scratching-posts'. Likely dating to the early medieval period, the stone may be associated with local monastic or territorial markers. The carving of '1862' suggests a later, historic modification, possibly related to land ownership or boundary recording.
