Hazel branches still brush the burnt limestone bank where water boiled for food or baths beneath an open sky. The penannular pit faces northwest toward the Rathborney River, inviting rain and memory into its stone-edged cup. People may have gathered there across centuries, watching steam rise through scrub while the field system around them changed shape.

Under hazel scrub on the S side of a small stream, c. 250m W of Rathborney River, within a multiperiod field system (CL005-014001-). A small, penannular area (17.5m E-W; 12m N-S) open to the NW and defined by a broad, grass-covered bank (Wth 4m; ext.
