Fulacht fia in Glanmane

Fulacht fia

What is recorded here

A few metres from the W bank of the stream flowing northwards along this valley, is a barely discernible circular mound no more than 5m in diameter. The grass cover apparently conceals a spread of burnt stones (local information). The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 247. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 4 August 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
