What is recorded here
In a pasture field which encompasses part of a flat valley of damp ground. A few meters to E of the mound the ground rises.
Low, roughly kidney-shaped mound (15m NE−SW; 11m NW−SE; H 0.6m), with a shallow, poorly-defined, roughly U-shaped depression (2.5-3m NW−SE; 1m NE−SW) mid-way along the NW side, which may indicate the location of a trough. The mound is compact and marked by a growth of short, green grass. In parts, where the sod cover has eroded by farm stock, it is possible to see that the mound is composed of a concentration of stone fragments in dark soil.
