Fualach Fian

What is recorded here

Marked only on the 1945 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as ‘Fulacht Fian’, and located in a low-lying position at the headwaters of a small NE-SW stream. This is a grass-covered cairn (diam. 11.5m N-S; 11m E-W; H 0.75m) with a slight hollow at the centre and concave edges at N and S. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
