Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Formoyle is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Formoyle, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a slight slope in gently undulating pasture, forming a raised circular area twenty-four metres wide. A broad earth bank surrounds the centre, while a shallow fosse runs outside the bank except where a lane crosses the site. Small livestock tracks now break through the bank at three points.

Situated on a very slight SSW-facing slope, in gently undulating pasture. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 24m) enclosed by a broad bank of earth (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.9m). At the external foot of the bank is a fosse (Wth 3.85m; D 0.25m). From SW-NE the fosse is absent. A NNE-SSW orientated field boundary bank lies along the circuit of the fosse SW-NW. An E-W orientated lane lies along the outer edge of the absent fosse NW-NE. The original entrance is not recognisable. There are small livestock tracks through the bank at NNE (Wth 0.75m), SE (Wth 0.85m) and at SSW (Wth 0.85m). Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 21 April 2011
