What is recorded here

Situated on level terrace near base of slight SW-facing slope, overlooking lower ground SE-NW, in a clearing in mature coniferous forestry. Not shown on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map but depicted on the 1912 edition as a hachured roughly circular area (diam. c.15m) and named 'Sepulchral Stone Circle'. The area is overgrown with heather, briars and some rhododendron. No visible surface trace at ground level. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 21 April 2011
