Indicated

Indicated is a trapezoidal stone ringfort on a west-facing slope above the Caher River in County Clare, its bank still marking a space roughly forty-five metres across. cattle may have grazed the pasture around it while people forgot the fort itself, reducing ancient walls to ordinary stones under their hooves. The shape resists the circular expectation of most Clare ringforts, suggesting its builders valued angle and sight over symmetry.
