Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Fisherstown is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Fisherstown, County Wexford, Ireland. Situated on a northeast-facing slope near the head of a southeast-northwest inlet of the tidal River Nore or Barrow, the site preserves a bank segment on its southeast to southwest side. This bank measures four metres in width, with an internal height of 1.4 metres and an external height of 5 metres. Just inside the western line of the bank lies an oval underground chamber, whose long walls corbel in toward a line of lintels on the long axis.

Located towards the bottom of a NE-facing slope with the head of a SE-NW inlet of the tidal River Nore/Barrow c. 100m to the NE. A segment of a bank (Wth 4m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 5m) survives SSE-SW with a Man-made underground passage just inside the line of the bank at W. The outline of the enclosure cannot be identified elsewhere. The Man-made underground passage is an oval chamber (dims 3.2m NE-SW; 1.2-1.9m NW-SE) and the long walls corbel in to a line of lintels on the long axis. The SW end has collapsed and the maximum H (1.3m) is achieved at the NE end where the present entrance was created by the removal of a lintel in ploughing. There is a lintelled but blocked entrance (Wth 0.5m; visible H 0.4m) at the NE end of the chamber, which is now closed. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 25 January, 2013
