What is recorded here

Dooneens holds a 162m stone wall that bends from southwest to southeast beside Cairn Field. Built of loose, uncoursed stones and now half-swallowed by grass, it still marks the edge of a field someone shaped long before the wind farm came. That much length and purpose suggest people moved, worked and belonged there, even if their names have thinned out of the story.

Described by Quinn and Carroll (2010) as ‘Located to E of Cairn Field (35). Large length of wall orientated SW/NE, turns to the SE. Wall survives to 1 course wide and 2 courses high in places. It is of random construction of uncoursed stones and is largely grass and sod covered. Length (in total) 162m, Width 0.7m, Height 0.6m.'
