Faymore Burial Mound stands in County Donegal as a chambered tomb built byNeolithic people. They shaped local stone into a narrow passage and larger chamber, then buried a person inside before covering the work with a long mound of earth and rubble. The builders believed death was not a sudden end but a change of shape. They gave the departed a room large enough for memory to move through, then hid that room beneath the sky.
