Fairy fort in Skehanagh, County Galway: a circular cashel about 45m across, cut by a roadway from NNE to SSW, with a man-made underground passage nearby. In November 1982 it was so overgrown that the wall’s dimensions could not be measured. Any people it sheltered are unnamed, but the buried passage and broken ring suggest a place used, forgotten, and walked through again.

In level pastureland. This poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. c. 45m) was so densely overgrown on inspection in November 1982 that it was impossible to obtain any dimensions of the wall.
