What is recorded here

No stone or ditch remains on the east bank of the Owencashla river, yet the forgotten caher still belongs to the water's edge. The land swallowed the fort, but the story survived in a ledger written before the grass forgot the shape of the wall.

The Co. Kerry Field Club (1946, 679) recorded a tradition of a caher on the E bank of the Owencashla river. There are now no visible remains and it is not remembered locally.
