What is recorded here

No visible wall or ditch remains in the scrubland of Carrowkilleen, yet a curved field boundary still traces the ghost of a twenty-seven metre ring. The fort vanished before human memory, leaving only a faint line on the earth and a warning not to trust what is missing.

In an area of scrubland and outcropping rock. Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 27m). No visible surface trace survives.
