Marianne and her children lived inside the stone ring when the world outside became too loud. They built a small kitchen in the wall, raised the earth against the slope, and left a gap for the road of life. When people ask why the fort has no door, tell them it has two: one for entering and one for leaving changed.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Subcircular area (32m E-W; 25m N-S) enclosed by stone wall (H 1.5m) SSE->NNE; stone-faced scarp (H 1.6m) elsewhere. Stone hut built into wall on NW side; gap to WNW. Interior artificially raised on E side against downhill slope; possible Man-made underground passage (8974) in S half; two low stones (H c. 0.4m) to ENE of Man-made underground passage.
