What is recorded here

Bolisheen holds a sixty-metre stone ring where a field wall now cuts across the interior like a scar. It sits beside another cashel and near a third, forming a small cluster of ancient boundaries in County Galway. The stones have surrendered much of their shape to vegetation and time, yet the circle remains visible enough to suggest purpose. Perhaps people lived there, feared there, or simply marked the land before forgetting the name.

Part of a complex of monuments; it lies c. 350m to the SE of a cashel (GA056-024001-). Poorly preserved and overgrown circular cashel (D 60m) defined by a drystone wall. A field wall cuts across the interior. Another cashel (GA056-024004-) lies immediately to the E.
