Fairy fort and ringfort in Caher and Knockroe, County Galway, is a circular rath on an E-facing ridge, with two banks, an intervening fosse, and a possible original gap at E. It is a human-made place, not a fantasy claim, and the underground passage inside it deepens the mystery. People may have lived, hidden, or marked time there before the fields changed the shape of the site.

On E-facing slope of a ridge in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 27m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. From NE through E to SE, a berm-like feature probably represents the last vestiges of the fosse and outer bank. A field boundary overlies the outer bank at S. A gap (Wth 3.5m) at E could be original.
