A broken ringfort in Tooms East holds a narrow gap where a stone wall and earth blocked most of the way through. Inside, old cultivation ridges still cross the ground, and the whole circle looks down the River Lee. It is the kind of place where people may have lived, buried tools, or simply remembered the shape of a fort long after the name was lost.

In pasture, on N-facing slope, overlooking River Lee. Circular area (44.4m N-S; 42.2m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1.6m). Break in bank to N (Wth 5m) blocked, except for 1m on W side, by stone wall set back from outer bank face and backed with earth in line with inner bank face. Interior slopes down to entrance on N side; crossed by remains of cultivation ridges on NNW-SSE axis. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
