Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Toomona is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Toomona, County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular earthwork sits on a north-facing slope where a relict field system once crossed its eastern edge. Reclaimed pasture now hides the bank and scarp from ground-level view.
On a N-facing slope. Described in 1979 as a circular area (diam. 34m N-S; 33m E-W) defined by an earthen bank S-W-NE (H c. 1m) and a scarp elsehwhere. The perimeter at E was overlain by a NE-SW field bank of a relict field system (RO022-104002-) of small rectangular fields covering c. 10 ha (c. 25 acres) (SMR file). It is not visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture.
