What is recorded here

Marked only on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and located on a fairly level landscape. This is a circular area (diam. 30m) planted in coniferous trees and defined by a slight bank or scarp (max. Wth 5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6 1.8m), with the remains of an external fosse (Wth of top 3.4m; D 0.7m) only visible NW-N.
