Fairy fort in Reavouler, County Cork: a 26-metre earthen ring with a shallow inner dip and a narrow southeast gap, old enough to belong before written memory. People may have lived, herded or hidden there; the shape still holds like a breath kept under the tongue.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Circular area (26.5m N-S; 24.4m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.2m) E->N; scarp (H 0.4m) elsewhere. Shallow depression (D 0.15m) inside and concentric with bank. Gap (Wth 0.6m) in bank to SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
