Fairy fort in Rathranna, County Cork: a worn earthen ring, twenty-eight metres across, set on an east-facing slope in pasture. Its interior rises on the east side to balance the hill, a practical touch inside a shape people still call fairy-made. Maybe humans built it and legends replaced their names; maybe the ring appeared ready-made and people stopped asking. Either way, it is a boundary drawn in soil, still holding its circle on the slope.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (28m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by worn earthen bank (int. H 0.85m; ext. H 0.9m). Interior raised on E side to compensate for hillslope.
