Rathmorrel held a large circular enclosure visible on the 1842 map but erased from the 1916 edition. That disappearance suggests the earth itself reclaimed the fort, perhaps swallowing the walls and memories that built it.
This large circular enclosure appears on the 1842 OS map, but does not appear on the 1916 edition. No trace survives today.
