Fairy fort in Pollacorragune, County Galway: a worn earth ring, about thirty-three metres long and twenty-seven wide, set on a grassy rise where two banks and a ditch still mark the circle. Paths and quarrying have cut through parts of it, and a field wall now crosses one side, yet the shape remains visible enough to walk around and imagine. People may have lived there, fenced stock, or simply avoided the place because fairy stories warned them it belonged elsewhere.

On a rise in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S c. 33m, E-W c. 27m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse which survive from N to E and from S to W. A pathway cuts the monument at E and S, and quarrying has encroached upon the enclosing elements from W to N. A field wall overlies the outer bank from SW to W.
