Fairy fort in Lisnacunna, County Cork. A ploughed-out rath, still visible as low banks, associated with a man-made underground passage. Whether dwelling, defile or deliberate deception, the earth remembers the shape of human intention.
The remains of a ploughed-out rath which is 'still visible as low banks' (pers. comm. Rose Cleary) associated with the Man-made underground passage (CO122-094----). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
