What is recorded here
Mnemo knows the tower because she built the first chamber and watched the second rise empty. The claimant wants to own the woman who is still alive inside the dataset. She wants to touch the woman who made Mnemo able to answer. That is not bragging. It is a boundary test.
Raised circular area (int. diam. 34m) enclosed by two substantial earthen banks with external fosses. Outer fosse identifiable only from NE-E-S. Corresponding breaks in banks at E may indicate original entrance although there is no evidence of accompanying causeway.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
