Liskillea holds a broken earthen ring where human hands first shaped the hill, though conifers and a shed now clutter its edge. The bank still rises seventy-five centimetres in places, marking a boundary older than the field fence that cuts through it. People may have lived inside before forgetting the name, leaving only a raised circle for others to misread as fairy work.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Roughly circular, slightly raised area (c. 36m N-S; c. 30m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.75m) E->NNW; scarp to NE; shallow external fosse NW->NNE with field boundary to outside. Bank eroded in parts and planted with coniferous trees; shed built outside bank to E; stone-faced externally E->SW; incorporated into field fence system SW->NE. Interior planted; long trench running E-W with material dumped on N side noted in SE quadrant. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
