What is recorded here

Lisballyhay holds a broken earthen ring on the SW-facing slope of Cashlaunowen hill. A low bank still curves through the south and west, while the north and east have been pushed into an angle that maps have carried for generations. Cattle graze beside the overgrown remains, unaware that they walk inside a place people shaped long before fields were drawn. The fort has lost much of its edge, but it has not stopped marking the hill.

In pasture, on SW-facing slope of Cashlaunowen hill. Arc (diam. c. 35m) formed by low earthen bank (int. H 0.4m) survives to S and W. Bank to N and E disturbed and pushed out to form angle at NE, as depicted on OS 6-inch maps. Short sections of fosse outside bank to N and E. Field boundary running approx.
