Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Killeedy South

Killeedy South holds a thirty-two-metre earthen ring where a shallow ditch still circles the base. The eastern gap remains wide enough for a cart or a fleeing person, while marshy grass hides the flat interior from casual view. People may have lived inside this small defensible circle before the land became pasture, using the bank to keep rain, predators or neighbours at a distance. The fortress has lost its buildings but keeps its shape, waiting for someone to walk the broken line and imagine the hands that built it.
