Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kildreenagh stands in County Carlow, Ireland. A circular area twenty-five metres across, an earthen bank two and a half metres high and five metres wide encloses it, with a boulder-filled fosse and a south-southwest causeway gap. People may have lived inside, marked territory or simply shaped the land for reasons now lost. The fort remains a visible human making, not a fairy tale.

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Circular area (diam. c. 25m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.8m, ext. H 2.5m; Wth 5m). Fosse now filled with boulders. Gap with causeway at SSW probably original.
