The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 16 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly Rectangular structure aligned E-W (c. 17m x c. 8.2m externally). Lower courses of mortared granite rubble visible. Traces of internal wall, 6m from E gable visible. No visible trace of graveyard (CW016-012002-) which is depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map as a square area (map dims. c. 30m x 30m)

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
