Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Grangecon Rocks

Situated on a slight low hillock in undulating terrain. Circular area (diam. 27.5m) with a raised interior defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.6-0.9m; ext. H 1.6-2m). Slight trace of an external fosse (Wth 3m) at the N. No indication of an entrance or internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
