Fairy fort in Glengarriff Beg: a 35m earthen ring on a north-facing slope, mapped in 1842, still marking a shallow ditch and low bank through pasture. The gap faces northeast, as if the entrance were made for arrival rather than defence. While cattle walk beside it now, the shape keeps its old claim on the field: a small circle drawn across the land, waiting to be remembered.

In pasture, on N-facing slope; fine view to NW, N and NE. Shown as circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; earthen bank (H 1m) and fosse (D 0.75m; Wth 3.2m) survive NNE->SSE. Gap through bank to NNE. Field fence curves around fosse NNE->SSW. No other visible trace of site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
