Fairy fort in Glen North: a 31.5-metre earth-and-stone ring on a steep south-facing slope above Glen River, its broken banks now hidden in pasture and growth. It may have been a boundary marker, a shelter or a place where people performed rituals beside the river. The name suggests later locals believed the fairies still lived there, turning an ordinary fort into a warning not to dig, build or disturb what the land already knew.

In pasture, on steep S-facing slope, above Glen River. Circular area (31.5m N-S; 31.5m E-W) enclosed by earth and stone bank (max. int. H 1.8m; ext. H 1.33m). Bank heavily overgrown; break to SE (Wth 1.7m) and SW (Wth 1.4m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
