Fairy fort in Garrane, County Kerry: an earthen ring, a rath, still standing where fields and memory overlap. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped inside its bank before forgetting the names of its rooms. The fairies, according to local story, took the fort back and refuse to leave empty ground.
