Mortons and Dunlavy are in the same area. Dunblaney is in Dunlavy. The fort is a small circular earthwork in open farmland. The second ringfort is nearby, so the area may have supported several families or one larger settlement. The earthworks are worn, but the purpose is clear: a defended home in a busy landscape.

On the summit of a hillock in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W 33m, N-S 31m) defined by a degraded bank visible intermittently from E to S and from W to NW; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element.
