Lisnacallee, the ringfort of the hag, vanished beneath the plough, erasing the circular enclosure and interior cave marked on nineteenth-century maps. The land swallowed the boundary stones and forgotten chambers, leaving only a flat field where a strange residence once stood. What the hag kept inside that cave, or whether she ever left it, the soil no longer remembers.

Lisnacallee/Lios na Caillí (ringfort of the hag). This circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 and 1916 OS maps, and on the earlier edition 'cave' (KE015-043001-) is marked in the interior.
