Listoneen, the ringfort of little Tuan, stands forty-two metres across in a Kerry field where ploughs have long since sanded its edges. A shallow fosse still marks the boundary, but the true oddity is the long oblong mound inside, perhaps a buried passage or cave that swallowed light and memory. Little Tuan may have been a child, a trickster or a forgotten king, yet the land still shapes itself around his name.

Internal diameter 41.5m N-S, 42m E-W Listoneen/Lios Tuainín (ringfort of little Tuan). This univallate rath is situated in a large pastoral field that is gently sloping S. Today it has been much levelled and consists of a sub-circular raised area enclosed by a fosse. The inner raised area rises to .5m above the fosse. The enclosing fosse, very shallow and best preserved N through E to S, is c 2m wide and .5m deep. The interior is at much the same level as the surrounding land. In the NE sector is an oblong mound, 2.6m x 16m internally, which is perhaps the remains of the Man-made underground passage (KE014-063001-) marked as 'cave' on the 1842 OS map. Immediately E of this rath is a sub-rectangular raised area, 18m x 25m internally and 1.4m high; this enclosure is probably connected to the fort. The above description is derived from C.
