Fairy fort in Derryvreen, County Cork: a broken earthen arc, not a whole ring. The bank stands forty centimetres high and runs east-north-east to south-east across pasture on a north-facing slope. A true ringfort would enclose a home, a yard, a fire and a reason for resisting the rain. This fragment withholds that answer, preserving only the curve of a boundary someone drew and never finished, abandoned, or forgot.
