Fairy fort in Crooha East: a 26m circular rath with a 5m earthen bank, southern causeway entrance, shallow outside ditch, and a hidden man-made passage inside. It stands on a SE-facing slope break, still shaping the land like a room set into the hill. People may have entered by the wide southern gap, then dropped into darkness beneath the floor while others watched the sky above.

In pasture, on edge of break in SE-facing slope. Circular area (26m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 5m). External fosse (D 0.7m) with counterscarp (H 0.7m) S->SW. Entrance (Wth 4.4m) to S, with causeway. Man-made underground passage (CO103-01102-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
