What is recorded here

Fairy forts in Cork are often called raths, though local people may use fairy fort. The distinction matters less than the shape: a small circular enclosure set beside a road or field edge. In Corran the ringfort has disappeared from the surface, but the drawing and old description preserve its size and position. The land remembers the shape even when the soil no longer shows it.

In pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam c. 20m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Hartnett (1939, 209) recorded site as levelled. No visible surface trace.
