Located towards the E end of a WNW-ESE drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 26m N-S) sloping down to the S (H 1.7m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 6-6.8m; int. H 0.5-0.9m; ext. H 0.9m at N to 1.8m at S) and hedge. The perimeter is incorporated into a field bank with an outer stone-facing NNW-ESE (at NE: Wth of base 4.1m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 2.1m). There are traces of an outer fosse (Wth c. 3m) NW-ESE. The entrance (Wth of base 2.2m) and causeway (Wth of top 3.2m; H 0.6m) are at SE.
